Cans and Bottles are one form of fundraising that we use. By sorting out different types of bottles and cans and putting them into bags that later get redeemed, we can make a profit that gets directed to summer camp, taxes, campouts, high adventure, and everything in between. Without this fundraising, we wouldn't be able to have as many fun and educational activities and nowhere to meet every Thursday. For these reasons, Cans and Bottles are a massive help to our troop as a whole and have proven to be beneficial in a multitude of ways. There are certain requirements for Cans and Bottles that need to be met in order to redeem them and so the measurements are as follows:
Type - Restriction - Amount
Can None 200
2-liter Bottle None 35
1-liter Bottle None 50
20-ounce Bottle SODA ONLY 100
20-ounce Bottle Water, Gatorade, Powerade, Vitamin Water ONLY 100
Important things to keep in mind -
Make sure all bags are tightly tied
Only count in the bags provided by the redemption center
Each family needs to count a minimum of 5,000 items
