This 210-acre outdoor education center, owned and operated by the Orange County Council, Scouting America, is located in Orange, California and accessible through Irvine Regional Park. The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center (IROEC) features half-day through five-day academic and recreational programming. Our hands-on approach to outdoor education allows participants to explore the outdoors while developing creativity, leadership skills and a respect for the environment. Oso Lake Boy Scout Camp is a volunteer run facility located in Rancho Santa Margarita on the border of Mission Viejo. Easy access from the 241 toll road makes the facility easily accessible to all units. The camp is surrounded by O’Neill Regional Park and features a 100-acre lake, 15 acres of land and is capable of supporting 300 campers. Learn more about Oso Lake Boy Scout Camp at OsoLake.org. The Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley is located in the Warner Springs Area of San Diego County, California. It is a wilderness camp with 1,400 acres of oak, pine, and chaparral, bordered by the Cleveland National Forest and the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The camp facilities include: 22 cabins; two swimming pools; a two-acre lake; rifle, archery, and shotgun ranges; horse stables; mountain bike center; observatory; two handicraft centers; an Indian Village; and a nature center. Two dining halls, Beckman Hall and Casey Lodge, provide Scouts with meal service. Scouts can also choose to participate in High Adventure programs, with challenges ranging from climbing the sixty-five foot rock face to rappelling, black powder shooting, and High COPE. This camp is located just east of State Route 57 in Tonner Canyon between Diamond Bar and Brea, California. The facilities are available to most non-profit youth groups in addition to Scouting organizations.

Leo Carrillo State Park has 1.5 miles of beach for swimming, surfing, windsurfing, surf fishing and beachcombing. The beach also has tidepools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring. Giant sycamores shade the main campgrounds. The park also features back-country hiking.

Besides camping, hiking, and general outdoor fun, there are countless things to do at Mataguay during the year. Programs which are available include archery, swimming at the pool, boating at the lake, .22 rifle, black powder (muzzle loading) rifle, shot gun, and BB gun shooting. For older Scouts COPE and Climbing/Rappelling are available. These programs can be tailored to meet your unit's goals from pleasure use to merit badge, advancement, and other special camp programs. Units can provide their own lifeguards and range masters, or these can be arranged through the Ranch Director.

Located in Santa Ana Canyon, almost all of Featherly Regional Park is a natural riparian wilderness area; public access is restricted and viewing opportunities are best from the Santa Ana River Bikeway which runs adjacent to the park.

Located behind the Council Service Center, are ten campsites, and enough room for 300 campers. Each campsite has its own campfire ring, flag pole, and picnic tables. There is also a recreational size swimming pool, a patio/picnic area with brick Bar-B-Q's. The camp also boasts an amphitheater for a campfire program held under the beautiful San Diego sky. A projector can be reserved ahead of time for a night time movie.

Cabrillo Beach Youth Waterfront Sports Center is a one of a kind youth and aquatic center. Our goals are to provide unique aquatics and camping experiences for the youth of Southern California and, in turn, give youth self-confidence by exposing them to water safety, rescue methods, care and use of equipment, and physical fitness.
Please insure all materials are enclosed within a patrol box before taking the supplies on a campout.
