The Vault is a student-run organization at UW Madison that explores both the business and artistic elements of the fashion industry. With The Vault I have been able to explore a variety of roles related to fashion. Such as sponsorship and collaboration coordination, modeling, fashion design, fashion marketing, and so much more! Below I have listed a few highlights from my time at The Vault that I believe enhanced my experience in the fashion industry.

With every community that has dealt with colonial rule, there comes a crucial moment when traditions are compromised to accommodate an unwelcome presence. The Indigenize Initiative seeks to envision what our cultures may have become without that pivotal compromise and without that impeded growth. The privilege of a blank slate. As Creative Director and Ideation Manager, I lead the execution and creative direction of a fashion show depicting decolonized versions of cultural and religious fashion. In addition, I have organized and secured a gallery space to display various art pieces from multicultural students on UW Madison's campus. 

In the summer of 2023, The Vault began collaborating with local retailers in Madison, allowing club members the opportunity to engage with these businesses. UW Madison Athlete Kamari McGee sought out The Vault to help create his streetwear brand, Karpe Diem. As a project lead, I work with three other individuals in directing our team to bring Kamari's vision to life. 

In addition to collaborating with Kamari's brand Karpe Diem, this past fall 2023, I successfully coordinated a collaboration with FR8 Clothing and The Vault's second fashion show, "What is Technology". Along with distributing clothing to local charities, FR8 works to support local artists and designers. I worked closely with designer Veronica Mingle to create the four looks pictured using donated clothing from FR8.

Every semester, The Vault hosts a variety of guest speakers with experience in the fashion and beauty industry, as well as, a guest speaker panel at the end of each semester. These events allow members to hear from and connect with industry professionals.
