Our team

Yaning Li, 2023 BIMS PhD program, University of Virginia School of Medicine

Yaning has an intense passion for cancer biology especially genetics and epigenetics of cancer. Prior to joining UVA, she has worked at a biopharmaceutical company to develop novel immunotherapies and targeted therapies against cancer. Yaning has been doing her first rotation with our lab. Her rotation project investigates the role of myeloid genes in regulation of noncoding RNAs using inducible knockout mouse models. Yaning has been awarded the prestigious Cancer Center International Student Fellowship.
