Miguel Fuentes, BA candidate, Harvard College
Miguel was born in El Salvador, but was raised around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is in his senior year at Harvard College studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. Miguel is co-mentored by Drs. Trinh and Dan Tenen. Miguel obtained two fellowships from Harvard for his sophomore and junior summers to conduct research with the goal of completing an undergrad thesis under Dr. Trinh's direct supervision. He is studying the role of a noncoding RNA, arising from the CEBPA gene locus, in leukemia. Outside of research, his hobbies include rock climbing, ninja warrior, soccer, and astronomy.
