A S M Waliullah, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Research Associate, Experimental Pathology, UVA
Dr. Waliullah joined our team in January 2024 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. During his Doctoral program in Japan, he received a prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. His research focused on Parkinson’s disease using mice model, and aging research using Termite model. After graduation he became a specially appointed researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Mitsutoshi Setou at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. Dr. Waliullah is experienced with mass spectrometry and imaging. In our lab, he studies epigenetic regulations by noncoding RNAs and developing new studies on biomarkers focusing on acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Waliullah was born in Bangladesh.
