TRIDENT SUPPORT
TRIDENT SUPPORT
TRIDENT works well because of the TRIDENT Ecosystem around it. Through other divisional skillsets and experiences able to be utilised to help further, each aspect of TRIDENT Support enables TRIDENT to achieve its goals. TRIDENT Support members are to stay incognito positioning themselves in disguised locations submitting intelligence where possible to aid and assist with operations. A high standard of communications are required for this role, as the information required can heavily assist the TRIDENT officers conducting the operation.
TRIDENT is a division that focuses on gun crime, drug crime and organised gang crime within the city.
CID is the Criminal Investigation Department responsible for investigating crime whilst gathering intelligence, a lot of the time, undercover to support TRIDENT in its mission statements. This is a sub-division within TRIDENT.
CTSFO is the Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers. These are the highest trained in firearms and breaching and collaborates with TRIDENT to support the overall aims of reducing gun crime, drug crime and organised gang crime within the city whilst tackling high alert terrorist threats such as mass shootings, mass knife crime etc. within the city.
TRIDENT Drivers are highly trained members of the Roads Policing Unit with a key focus on utilising their skills to support TRIDENT at operations with key examples being evading gangs, handling high risk pursuits and focusing on ensuring that any criminals are transported and operations run smoothly
TRIDENT Pilots are the eyes in the sky, some of the highest trained officers in terms of piloting within the city. They are responsible for providing continuous surveillance and communication ensuring that TRIDENT members are able to respond accordingly, as well as ensuring quick extractions through emergency pick-ups etc. in high-risk situations. Utilising their skillset, the TRIDENT pilots team provides further intelligence through intel gathering tools such as drones and thermal imagery to give deeper insight and influence operational planning whilst excersizing skilled piloting techniques allowing for extremely efficient yet safe transportation. Additionally, TRIDENT pilots are vital for scouting areas prior and immediately following operations to identify potential threats in situations.
TRIDENT focuses a lot heavily on investigating gang crime, gun crime and drug crime within the city. The division is focused on apprehending and prosecuting gang members following intel being submitted. There is a lot of crossover with CTSFO who deal instant immediate response to high risk situations and would take priority tacking terrorist incidents as mentioned above. SCO-19 are the gunpower, the manpower to support both units in their mission. To summarise, TRIDENT focuses on investigation and execution of operations to gain intelligence and take down gangs within the city whereas CTSFO respond to terrorist threats such as mass stabbings, shootings and higher risk situations due to their specialised skillsets and SCO-19 provide the artillery and manpower required to support both units in their mission. Whilst similar, there are key distinct differences between all three divisions.
