Intensive Mental (iM)

Similar but different akin to the unconscious Sensation type, the Intuition, whose attitude is introverted, perceives the world not through direct sensory engagement but through the underlyingevent's connections and inferences. It absorbs the intangible, drawing impressions from the greater flow of idea within a shape-shifting perception. The Introverted Mental hardly looks at the world as a literal sequence of events, rather as an ever-shifting album of snapshots, each photo capturing fractals of implication, esoterically arranged therefore ruminous, yet remains disconnected when it comes to its implied randomness. Hence then, such mental images do not align in a neat fashion—they emerge akin to scattered photos, each carrying an in-depth vagueness that eventually becomes sensible in hindsight. Within its principality, it's a perceiver in which has a need to be rather sensitive of social problems according to the essence of morals in which can barely be prejudiced by superficial assumptions, thus the imagery that is perceived as the result of moral's conflicts. In its essence, the Introverted Mental possesses a vision which is overarching in a sense that such a moral compass constantly seeks meaning in a narrative form of pictures. It is not guided by strict rules nor details let alone the reflection of environment but is instead driven by a rumination consists of likelihood and odds. These impressions form a perplexing mosaic, often vaguely connected but evolving to a vision of interconnected truths, a storyboard that plays out in fluid sequences of thought. This approach is fundamentally different from how visual types perceive their surroundings, as it constantly seeks out the larger patterns beneath surface details. 

Unlike the Introverted Visual, who keeps a diary of events, the Introverted Mental type collects metaphysical photos of the world around them—seemingly random, but each snapshot holding a piece of a much larger, ever-evolving vision. Their memory does not unfold like a linear diary; instead, it is a disordered album, each photo unmarked by time but linked in abstract ways, waiting to be reexamined and placed into a larger context. The introversion of mentalization leads them to focus intensely on these fragmented mental images, yet they risk overlooking the immediate details to favour a rather grandious scheme of things. Though this perspective is often intangible therefore filled with uncertainty, it fuels a strong vision, a way of seeing the world that doesn't depend on what is viable to senses but rather the endless connections that shape their understanding of reality. This type thrives on mental engagement, drawing meaning from patterns that emerge from the edges of awareness. The joy they find is hardly achieved in precise knowledge but in the flow of ideas and the stimulation that comes from connecting seemingly unrelated mental images. When paired with Rational (Thinking), the Introverted Mental works through established concepts, recounting familiar imageries while allowing their vision to form. However, when paired with Sentiment (Feeling), they seek emotional resonance in the larger picture, integrating an ethical layer that informs their conceptual world. They defend these ideals with the internal consistency of their logical reasoning, ensuring that their personal vision aligns with both their emotional and intellectual worlds.

Misconceptions: 

• "Introverted Mental has a strong sense of foresight, based on their ability to perceive abstract patterns of the future."
  
  This conception is not entirely accurate, as the Introverted Intuition or Mental type does not possess an inherent ability to predict the future in a literal sense. The true nature of Introverted Intuition lies in its unconscious perception of patterns, connections, and symbols within the environment that might seem to suggest possible futures. This is not necessarily a clear vision of what is to come, but rather an abstract, often vague feeling or insight into the nature of things as they unfold over time. While the perception may feel insightful, it is rooted in the introspective exploration of meaning rather than a defined, predictive ability.

• "Introverted Intuition/Mental is overly focused on abstract concepts, disregarding the practical, immediate reality."
  
  This idea tends to oversimplify the function, as it’s not that the Introverted Intuition or Mental type disregards practical matters, but rather that they engage with them through a more introspective, conceptual lens. The focus is on understanding the deeper meanings, interconnectedness, and implications of the present, rather than being immediately concerned with details or tangible aspects. However, the abstraction should not be confused with neglect; the mental type often finds themselves deeply absorbed in seeking the underlying patterns of everyday occurrences, which can sometimes appear detached from the moment but are intensely tied to a broader perspective.

• "Introverted Intuition/Mental is fixated on future possibilities and disconnected from the present moment."
  
  While it’s true that Introverted Intuition tends to orient itself toward future possibilities, this idea is often misconstrued. The Introverted Intuition or Mental type does not ignore the present, but rather, they perceive the present as part of a greater narrative. Their connection to time is cyclical and panoramic—perceiving past, present, and future as interconnected threads. The "future" is not necessarily a strict temporal idea but a broader, often abstract direction in which they feel the world is moving. The perception of time is more about the potential of what could be rather than a detached preoccupation with the future, meaning they often retain a deep connection to the present by analyzing it through their own subjective lens.

• "Introverted Mental is disconnected from the real world, as they are caught up in internal concepts and theories."
  
  This view inaccurately reduces the complexity of Introverted Intuition. While the type may indeed focus on internal concepts, theories, and abstract constructs, these are frequently derived from real-world experiences that have been internalized and processed in a deeply personal way. Rather than being “disconnected,” the mental type is often very aware of their external surroundings, but they engage with them through their internal, abstract interpretations of what is happening. Their approach to the "real world" is often introspective and meaning-driven, not a rejection of it.

• "Introverted Mental creates visions of the future and is driven solely by those visions."
  
  This conception oversimplifies the nature of the Introverted Intuition or Mental type. While visions or insights into the future may be part of their mental process, they are not necessarily deterministic or driving the individual toward a singular goal. The vision is often more a vague feeling or understanding of how things may unfold, not a rigid plan that directs behavior. The type may, at times, feel pulled toward a certain vision, but it is not necessarily the “future” they are chasing—it's more about the continuous integration of abstract knowledge into a coherent mental map of the world. These insights often guide them rather than control them, serving as pieces to a larger puzzle that is always shifting.
