I always consider Introverted Perceiver to be such kind of peculiar functions to argue with. And it's due to the fact that they are similar but strangely different. People may believe that Introverted Intuition is the same as Introverted Sensation and vice versa as both only have a slight difference in such a detailed attitude of usage. And to be fair, It's been a while since I've mentioned of Thinking function (You can read it here) and it's very addicting and intriguing to know how to differentiate both of them in a good analogy or comparison in terms of perspective.
"Objects in (the) mirror are closer than they appear"
Firstly, this is how the Introverted Sensation looks at a mirror. It is always an illusion, while reduced, but also fair. As the Objective Intuition gets closer to the mirror, while the image becomes larger, until reaching approximately the size of the object, until it reaches the mirror. And as the object moves away, the image would be reduced in a size and gets gradually closer to the point of focus, until it is, again, reduced to a point in the focus when the Object of Intuition (Ne) is at a more infinite distance. It works similar as for the introverted sensation, however, as the mirror seems to appear closer than it should be. It makes them less aware of the danger backwards rather than the Introverted intuition. The introverted sensation may use this mirror to review and then, remind themselves about the things that is right behind them to be applied in the future. As it's rather guided by the convex mirror, as the introverted sensation would eventually unravel the past in order to be more careful in advance, which is the future or "what-will-be". While I believe that the Extroverted Intuition is more than capable to have, at least, an ability to bring back pictures that they have from the past, while the application would rather be based on the concrete definition of facts in the regard of common sense (Te) or the fluid emotion that morphs throughout the environment (Fe) as it absorbs the "memory" that they seem to have into an Extroverted Intuition that seems to be the application of what they've done as the result of their psyche of mind. The way how to explain it is that, the Introverted Sensation has its own perception of memory that doesn't seem to be understood by others, while then, they have a different way to absorb the mirror into the future, so how do they learn? Tried and true, or also known as trials-and-errors, this kind of manifestation in intuition would've been so prepared in any single possibilities that would've happened in the future, since they are more "enthusiast" about having their ideas to be applied into what they would like to do, according to their preference of Te or Fe. Thus, in the next phase, the judgment then occurs through two lenses: one which is grounded in concrete facts and the other that is done in the fluid perception; it's an ongoing process. Common sense, in itself, demands a flexible identity—either Feeling or Thinking, adaptable to extroverted or introverted preferences guided by the Dominant.
Next, this is how the Introverted Intuition users look at the mirror of themselves. It's sunken, as it has a reflecting surface that is shattered away from the light. And it reflects the intuition inward to just one point as it's only just obsessed with that one detail that, according to others, doesn't seem to have its meaning, but it can be explained specifically like this. Unlike the convex mirrors, the concave mirror would show a very different image that is depending on the distance between the object of sensation and also, the intuition. These mirrors are so-called "converging mirrors" because they are prone at collecting ideas that fall on them, while then, trying to refocus the parallel of incoming rays toward a defined point of focus. This is because the light that is reflected at different angles at different spots in a mirror as the normal scenery to the mirror surface differs at each spot. Unlike the introverted sensation, the introverted intuition is the reflection of mirrors, as it's also being used to give a bigger-picture of representation in the appearance for utilizing plan or scheming (Je) according to their judging preference. It's also used to gather the reflection from a very small resource and direct it outward in a flash or to collect hunch from a big area and then, it'll have a focus of it into a small spot of Extraverted Sensation. Which is why Ni is more a bigger-picture oriented and emerging ideas than Si. While I believe that the Extroverted Sensation is more than capable to have, at least, an ability to bring back sensations that they have from the past, here, and future, however, the application would rather be different, Introverted Intuition sees the big picture of details, and how does it work? They would have the reasoning over their intention towards what they actually want akin to what people want. This kind of comparison would be very complicated indeed, since what they want and what people want, they actually are different but somewhat, it might exactly be the same. So, how to compare them? Extroverted Feeling would try to manipulate the environment to express themselves in that situation to show the capability in both empathetic and sympathetic in a way that they have to be sympathetic first, since they really don't know how to be empathetic from the first time, or they try to connect of "what" people have but they don't see it as important rather than their own reasoning to have them. And how about the Extroverted Thinking? It sees facts as their own reasoning, they have own resources and capability to understand every single material that happens to be facts in front of them. Hence, since then, there would be a contradiction on themselves, whether they want to follow sources that people have or sources that they already have. This kind of contradiction will be dilemmatic, since it has a perception to either protect what they already have or what the majority seems to have. It's the chaos theory whereas the intuition got infected by either Extroverted Feeling or Thinking, which makes them be driven by their attitude of own reasoning to get into the reality perception of Extroverted Sensing. And next, while in the attitude of Tertiary function, there would be like two different perception of judging according to the concrete common sense of facts vs the fluid. However, it's not over yet... since the common sense itself needs a fluid identity, which means to be the Feeling or Thinking attitude that is rather flexible, as it can either be extroverted and introverted according to the preference of Dominant as the guide itself.
