Education: People don't know did he attained school or not.He was born into a family of wealthy merchants. As a child of a merchant family, he would have received a nice education that included reading, writing, and basic math.Marco learned the mercantile trade.

Position/positions held in lifetime: Marco was a clever businessman who impressed the Mongol emperor and was chosen to go on important trips throughout the area.

Achievements and contributions: He wrote  books "The Travels of Marco Polo","  Introduced Europeans to China and Central Asia". Marco Polo served as an ambassador for Kublai Kha.

When did they encounter the Khans: Marco Polo first met Kublai Khan, the ruler of the Mongol Empire, in 1275. At that time, Marco Polo was in his early twenties and had arrived in China with his father and uncle, who had established trade connections with the Mongols.

Why did they encounter the Khans: In 1271, Marco Polo, along with his father and uncle, set out on a journey to Asia to establish new trade routes and expand their business interests. When they arrived in the Mongol Empire, they were welcomed by Kublai Khan, who was impressed with their knowledge of languages and cultures. Kublai Khan appointed Marco Polo as a special envoy and ambassador to various parts of the empire, and he worked for Kublai Khan for many years, gaining his trust and respect.

What happened during the encounter:During his time in the Mongol Empire, Marco Polo learned about the customs, religion, and daily life of the Mongols. He also traveled extensively throughout the empire, visiting places such as Tibet, India, and Persia. His experiences during those travels are chronicled in his book "The Travels of Marco Polo," which is one of the most important works of travel literature from the medieval period.

What happened after the encounter: When Marco Polo returned to Europe after his travels, he brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that he shared with his fellow Europeans. He also introduced them to new goods and technologies from the East, which had a significant impact on the economy and culture of Europe.Marco Polo's book, "The Travels of Marco Polo," which chronicled his experiences during his travels, became an instant sensation in Europe, and it played a crucial role in opening up new trade routes and diplomatic channels between Europe and Asia. His encounters with the Khans helped to bridge the gap between East and West and fostered greater understanding and cooperation between the two regions.

First person narrative: I Marco Polo think that the Great Kublai Khan, the ruler of Mongol Empire at the time, is a great ruler and very accomplished. Khans were hated by other people due to him taking their land and killing people. They might call them ruthless and evil but they just wanted to have more land for their people. No one has stepped in their shoes and thought about why he is doing it. I was close and served to him as his ambassador  and later i had tied with him. The first time I met Kublai Khan was in my twenties. Kublai Khan who was at the time the ruler was impressed with our knowledge of languages and cultures. The Great Kublai Khan gave me a special role as his “special envoy” and his “ambassador” to some of his parts of the empire and I was honored to get that title from the Great Kublai Khan. I worked under Kublai Khan for many years, 24 years to be exact. I gained his trust and respect. When I was working under Kublai Khan for those years, I learned about their customs, culture,  tradition, religion, and ways of life. It was so inspiring and very well made of the society it was also compact and they usually move around with ease. It was planned out brilliantly and the people were kind too. The Mongols also helped the autistic people. The custom of the Mongols were always saying hello when we arrived. The men usually go to the left and women usually go to the right when entering a ger.You also have to always receive objects with your right hand. A ger is a tent like structure where the Mongols live. The normal lifestyle of a mongolian family is that they go in larger tribes and they raise livestock such as horses, sheeps, goats .etc. They mostly ate meat and drank milk so therefore their diet was mostly full of meat and dairy The Mongols believed mostly in Buddha's teachings but there were Muslims, Shamanist ,and Christian. For me I am interested in Buddhism and I follow the way of the teachings of Buddha. I also have traveled extensively throught the Mongol empire. I visited places such as Tibet, India, and Persia. When I got back to Europe I explained about how the Khans survived and their religion. The gap between the East and West became minimized because of the Khans.
