Genghis Khan and his line of descendants are filled with honorable and respectable statesmen, generals and emperors. Despite having lost my father to the Khans, I understand that it wasn't the Khans that killed him as it wasn't possible for such a man with so much talent to be killed by the Khans. After the Khans found out that I was an excellent recorder and a writer, I was given the position of Governor of Iraq. I am very grateful for that position as I got to serve the people of Iraq and rebuid the city of Baghdad which was once destroyed. I can see that the Mongols and the Khans has an army filled with men who are well disciplined and officers who are strict to their soldiers. They also have an extreme respect for people with skill and talent whether it may be in the fields art and music or scientific advancements. All talent and skills are welcomed by the Khans and treated as achievements. This is the main reason why I was appointed a high position by Hulegu Khan and I served him well by making the best out of that position. The army that I recorded which the Khans yielded, were recorded during my journey with Hulegu with many sieges and battles. The sieges were brutal, but it is necessary as the enemies kept of retaliating over and over again so in order to achieve victory we had to make sure that they were on their knees.
