Crimes Against Humanity

In order to prove crimes against humanity, a prosecution must establish the following:

(1) particularly odious offences in that they constitute a serious attack on human dignity or grave humiliation or a degradation of human beings.

Excessive Brutality

In order to prove excessive brutality, a prosecution must establish the following:

(1) an unnecessary amount of violence and savagery beyond what in comparison to previous and future empires .

Persecution

In order to prove persecution, a prosecution must establish the following:

(1) severe discrimination that results in the denial or infringement of fundamental rights of a specific group of people, particularly minorities, often because of religion, language, ethnicity or culture.

2. The Deposition Research

The lawyer and investigator will make appointments during Social Studies to interview each of the witnesses on Friday the 17th, Monday the 20th or Tuesday the 21st of March.

The lawyer and investigator need to prepare a list of questions for each of the witnesses, this will help them get an idea of what to ask during the trial, help them prepare the witnesses and discuss how best to conduct their arguments. Make detailed notes of each interview.

Each side prepares opening statements and submit to the judge (Mr Holmes) on Teams Chat on the day of the Trial.

4. The Prosecution calls Witnesses

The prosecution calls their witnesses one by one to the witness stand and asks questions

The defence has an oppurtuinity to ask questions of each witness

The prosecution has the right to re-examine each witness

5. The defence calls witnesses

The defence calls their witnesses one by one to the witness stand and asks questions

The prosecution has an oppurtuinity to ask questions of each witness

The defence has the right to re-examine each witness

6. The closing statement

Each lawyer gives their closing statement. Prosecution then Defence.
