About TCMTA

The Tri-City Chapter of the Washington Music Teachers Association of the Music Teachers National Association is located in the Tri-Cities area of southeastern Washington state. Our chapter includes music teachers from the three cities of Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland, as well as the nearby communities of West Richland, Mattawa, and Prosser.

Our chapter was established in 1953. We have approximately 60 members who teach music in a wide variety of situations: independent studio, multi-teacher studio, in-home, commercial space, school district, homeschool, college, full-time, and part-time. Membership in TCMTA gives independent music teachers educational resources and professional support to become the best teachers we can be, and to help our students have the best learning opportunities we can give them.
