Globally there has been a shift in public attention towards climate change and related causes, and as a result, Caribbean artists, musicians, poets, spoken word artists and cultural advocates are making a stance through their content and social media activism about the importance of climate action.
Starting with an Indigenous multicultural presentation. This session will be facilitated by social purpose artists. Guests will showcase their art form, and describe their inspirations, types of platforms used to elevate their passion and causes. They will also explain whether their experiences have made a difference to influence people in their communities.
Musicians, Artists & Cultural Advocates & Entertainment Interludes will focus on:
art forms to influence narratives on climate action and social action
the link between passion and purpose for advocacy and climate action
strategies to balance the diverse roles of entertainment and the sharing of positive messages while advocating for a cause.
