Youth Advocacy & Climate Action - Local, Regional & International

Youth Empowerment

Elevating Youth Voice, Promoting Youth Mentorship & Sharing Benefits for Engagement in Climate Action

Young people who constitute the majority of the population in many countries, are becoming a driving force in pursuing a low-carbon and climate-resilient future. No doubt they will be the future decision makers, planners, and policy implementers across the world, and in the Caribbean. Caribbean Tree Planting Project engaged over 4,000+ youth across the Caribbean to achieve the goal of planting 1 million trees in the region. Without their energy, commitment and actions, it would not have been possible.

This session will be facilitated by young emerging environmental professionals who will engage youth who are active in the CTTP and in international projects. They will discuss their advocacy, climate action strategies, capacity building and mentorship needs and explore the benefits of employment in the environmental sustainability sector.

Facilitated discussion with CTPP youth on:

  • Youth climate action innovative strategies in the Caribbean & internationally
