Treehouse – First Step Learning Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Director to lead and support our high-quality Early Education and Care program.

As Treehouse continues to grow and evolve, the Director's role is dynamic and varied. Responsibilities include the following:
Lead the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of educators.
Exercise hiring and termination authority for staff in alignment with Treehouse policies, applicable employment laws, and any required organizational procedures.
Provide classroom guidance, coaching, mentoring, and professional development to educators.
Conduct classroom observations and educator evaluations, offering constructive feedback and ongoing support.
Address staff performance concerns, facilitate improvement plans when appropriate, and support accountability and professional growth.
Support staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and daily staffing needs.
Ensure lesson plans are completed and implemented in alignment with Treehouse's educational philosophy and program expectations.
Monitor children's portfolios, classroom documentation, and other required records.
Support classroom organization and the development of engaging learning environments that reflect Treehouse's values and early childhood best practices.
Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth among educators.
Maintain accurate child and staff records in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and program standards.
Support ongoing regulatory compliance, licensing requirements, and program quality standards.
Prepare agendas and contribute to the planning of staff meetings.
Contribute to newsletters and other family communications.
Plan and coordinate special events, family gatherings, and community-building activities.
Conduct tours for prospective families, sharing Treehouse's philosophy, curriculum, and community values.
Support the development and consistent implementation of program policies, procedures, and expectations.
Support educators, children, and classrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Provide classroom and ratio coverage when circumstances arise.
Help maintain safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children feel connected, respected, and inspired to learn.

Employment Type: Full-time, salaried position
Compensation: Starting Salary $60,000/year
Program Operating Hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
**The Director is responsible for ensuring that a Director-certified educator is on-site throughout all program operating hours. Support and coverage from other Director-certified educators are available as needed.
Vacation Time: Vacation time begins accruing after one year of employment.
Sick Time: Sick time begins accruing immediately, up to 40 hours per year.
Scheduled Program Closures: Treehouse closes for one week in February, April, July, August, and December. Expectations for the Director during these closure weeks, including any administrative or planning responsibilities, will be discussed and negotiated during the hiring process.

Looking for someone who loves to clean and organize. This position is in a child-care/school environment. We will be open with children enrolled during the hours of work so the individual must be respectful of adults and children alike.
