This is my favorite part of the Palace of Versailles. The story behind the creation of the peaceful hideaway and the calmness that surrounds this part of the palace grounds was so interesting and intriguing to me. The design and the surrounding landscape felt they a fairytale! I felt like I could see how peaceful this must have been to the queen. Who wouldn't want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the palace? This beautiful piece of the property inspired me to find something designed similar to this in Ohio! I could imagine myself living somewhere just as peaceful as this was!
