Travel Blog on Morocco on a Fulbright Hays trip
led by the Moroccan American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE)
Written by teachers participating on the trip in July 2022.
Places are not empty containers of human human experience.
Places are made up of all of the thoughts & feelings that are expressed by people in and about a common geography.
Places are bundles of meanings that people make of them.
There might be contradictions between meanings. There might be alignment. Some meanings have been sedimented over time. Some meanings are contested.
There might be joy and there might be suffering. One day, a place is one thing, and another day, a place is another.
Places do all that.
What do you make of this place called Morocco, as you follow our reflections?
