Pavilion With Painting

Location

This is one of my favorite places in Orchha Fort, a hidden gem. A small elegant pavilion (chhatri) : the proportions are perfect, has beautiful octagonal pillars holding up the dome, superb Bundela paintings both on the exterior & interior and best of all everything is original (i.e. not restored). Located between the Horse Stables and Ojha's House. Make it a point to visit this place. Right now it's like a neglected step-child.

I became aware of this place because of a PDF "Cultural Landscapes of Orchha" by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
