Bastion with well
Most visitors to Orchha wouldn't know about this place nor would they even notice it within Orchha Fort. I stumbled on this place in the thesis Building Traditions In Bundelkhand. This is unique : a well within a bastion of a fort. Also, there are rooms around the circumference of the well with windows that open into the well. Designed so that the soldiers guarding the fort could rest in a cool place!
