Welcome to TrainForTRI's 2024 Endurance Swim challenge. You can register as an individual participant or pull a few swim buddies together as a team. You'll have all year to achieve your endurance goal, so pick the distance that will push your limits and keep you accountable for the year ;) TrainForTRI will help you along the way with swim indoor and outdoor programs and workouts.
Results will be manually entered and tracked online. To record distances; you simply select your name from a drop down list and enter your distance in meters. EASY!! Individual and Team progress will increase with each entry. This will be an honour system. No pulling your hair out and uploading your Garmin or Strava results. (BUT I will be watching and checking lol) You'll have access to the site once January 1, 2024 kicks in. Swim total results will be displayed weekly. Also a monthly total for each category will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for those who are new to open water swimming or those who aren't yet comfortable to take part in the larger swims on Wednesday evenings. During this swim which takes place on Thursday evenings you have the chance to be taken out "one on one" with one of the TrainForTri coaches or even in a very small group. Rules:
No swimming distances will count towards your individual or team total until you're registered for the challenge AND until after January 1, 2024.
If you register days/weeks into 2024, the distance for you will start the day you register.
All distances must be recorded in meters.
Teams are a max of 4.
Entrances are welcome throughout the 2024 season.
All participants that complete the challenge will receive a unique 2024 Endurance Swim Finisher t-shirt with TrainForTri Logo. Plus finishers within each category will be in the draw for a TrainForTRI swim towel.
This is an honour system and you manually enter your distances in meters that you swim. If you don't have a swim watch, Count your 25m laps if needed at a pool or record loops of a measured open water swim course. (ie. 25meters at Local Pool or 750m loop at OWS course)

In reference to distances...
Meters to Kms: 1000m is 1 km. 100,000m is 100kms. 250,000m is 250kms. 500,000m is 500kms. 1,000,000m is 1000Kms
Yards to Meters: 1 yard is 0.914meters
If you want to swim 1000meters and you're in yards. That would require 1093.6 yards
Kms to Miles: 1 km is 0.621miles / 1 mile is 1.6kms
