SEASON PREDICTION 

The Jaguars biggest victory in this offseason has nothing to do with the players they brought in but rather the personal that stayed in the building. Throughout the free agency cycle both their OC and DC were hot head coaching candidates but by some miracle they both ended up not getting poached and thus returned to Jacksonville for this upcoming year. This continuity is going to play a huge role in helping the Jags maintain the momentum they had to end the season last year. They lost a few key pieces in the offseason including their starting running back and one of their anchors on defense in Devin Lloyd. However, they got replacements for both positions and with their coordinators running it back I feel these losses will be offset.  

With Anthony Campanelli returning for the Jaguars, there's a very real chance this unit ends up as a top three defense in the NFL. They're returning their entire front 4 with their stars of Trayvon Walker, Eric Armstead, and Josh Hines-Allen ready to wreak havoc. In the secondary they were able to resign Monterey Brown to a 3 year 33-million-dollar extension who led the team with 12 pass deflections in 2025. Lining up on the other side of Brown is the second overall pick in the 2024 draft Travis Hunter. I am a little bit nervous for Hunter considering he still plans to play both sides of the ball, expediting his risk of injury. But if he can stay healthy and play the majority of his snaps on defense, it will be a welcome boost to a secondary lacking depth.  

On the offensive side of the ball, Trevor Lawrence is blessed with an abundance of weapons at all positions. The team doesn't have a true WR1, but that isn't to say they're lacking talent for the wide receiver department. They have four weapons who could alternate between explosive games on a week-to-week basis. As for the backfield they unfortunately lost Eitenne (guess its pronounced Achane now), but the camp buzz surrounding Chris Rodriguez and Bashyul Tuten is encouraging for the 2-horse backfield. Moreover, there's continuity on the O-line with four of the five linemen returning from last year. All of this combined with Liam Coen's brilliant offensive mind makes this team a top Super Bowl contender. I have them finishing 13-4 and winning the AFC South. With the playoff experience from last year's heartbreaking loss to Buffalo, I wouldn't be surprised if the Jaguars make a deep playoff run and even potentially an AFC Championship game.
