Courses

By attending the courses which met the needs identified in our school's Development plan, the teachers developed their teaching skills and helped our school's improvement too.

The English teacher who attended the course "Non formal for inclusion" developed her competences regarding applying non-formal education activities and techniques in different formal settings.

The PE teacher who attended the course "Outdoor education" developed her competences regarding applying outdoor education in different formal settings, improved the motivation of the students and supported the school development in the field of outdoor learning.

The class teacher who attended the course "Spice up formal education!" developed her competences regarding applying non-formal education in different formal settings, improved the motivation of the students and developed tools about ways of applying non-formal education in the formal environment for different age groups.

The Maths teacher who attended the course " Stories of tomorrow" successfully used, developed and supported the creation of students’ stories using innovative, ICT based tools and techniques and helped students use their creativity to learn about science topics related to space exploration.

The Maths teacher who attended the course "Make technology your friend" developed ICT competences about applying technology in different educational settings and improved the motivation of the students.

The Maths teacher who attended the course "Go-Lab" developed, improved and enhanced inquiry-based science teaching skills through the use of virtual online and remote labs in STEM education.

The Geography teacher and the TE teacher who attended the course "Tablets and Smartphones: using mobile devices as educational tools" improved their digital skills, made their lessons more interesting, visual and motivating for their students.

Participating in these courses helped our teachers to improve their educational approaches. The training courses helped bridge the gap between innovating and less-innovating teachers in our school.

The teachers participating in the courses gained more experience in working on an international level with other teachers which is essential for making school partnerships work.
