Illustrations or photographs of larvae identified as Anisocentropus sp. by Tanida (2005) and Tanida et al. (1991) also could not be identified to species (Ito et al. 2012). Tamura et al. (2015) recorded unidentified species of this genus from Yaku-shima.

Kadowaki (1998) also recorded the genus Heteroplectron based on female specimens collected from Shimane.
