As Glenn came calling, back in those roaring years.
West met West in the fields of Patrick's Well.
Stone by stone she rose until the hills of Donegal could see.
The gentle lane and sycamore trees, talking to each other.
As numbers grew we moved closer to the foam.
Cycling back and forth, nurturing one by one.
Sad times, happy times but all the while togetherness times.
I'll go here & you go there but no circle broken.
New buds of spring, brown leaves of Autumn, the smell of hay in Summer.
Looking towards majestic Ox, resting in the shadows.
You may not be there, but you are here, all of you.
Private pools, splitting rocks, hanging holes and holes in one.
Memories of August days, when the spirit was set free

The General Register Office is gradually each year releasing records as they pass 100 years.
This year they have released Birth records up to early 1926.
See here for a record of Mary's birth and later Joe's
Also see here for some newly discovered school records for Crossmolina.
The most interesting image is this one showing Bella attended school there from 1903 to 1908. She is listed on the 1901 and 1911 census returns in Carrownaboll but obviously returned to Crossmolina in the meantime.
There are also records for her siblings Julia, as well as May (Mary) & Kathleen ( showing they transferred from Bangor Erris)
