The 1901 census shows Michael & Elizabeth (Timon)  O'Connell living with their family in Gleann. All the children except the eldest Mary are shown as living at home.

By the time of the 1911 Census Michael & Elizabeth are shown as living with Thady O'Connell along with 4 of their children- Patrick, James Bridget & Kate. Mary, Michael & John have emigrated to America. Bridget (Dotie ) would leave for America the following year.

Owen O'Connell has started his teaching career in that 10 year period between 1901 and 1911 and is living at Templevanny near Ballymote as a lodger with Mrs Nealon and her son and daughter.
