As its name suggests, the Costs and Manufacturing department is composed of two areas that play key roles in our journey: Costing and Manufacturing. While each one has distinct responsibilities, both are deeply interconnected and essential to the success of the team. From aligning the financial side of the project with our technical ambitions to transforming our concepts into real, buildable components. This department ensures that what we imagine can truly become a reality, all while meeting the demanding standards of Formula Student.

In the Costs area, we are responsible for preparing the official documentation for the Cost & Manufacturing event of the competition. This includes analyzing all components and processes involved in building the car, from materials and labor to tools and logistics. Our main goal is to realistically estimate the total cost of the vehicle and develop a sustainable, efficient manufacturing plan.
Our work ensures that the project is not only technically solid but also economically viable and environmentally conscious.
The Manufacturing area is responsible for turning the car’s designs into physical components through cutting, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes, always ensuring quality, safety, and precision. The team works in the workshop at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they apply the 5S methodology to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment. The entire team works closely with the design areas to ensure that every component is manufacturable, safe, and efficient.
