TM Racing is a Tecnológico de Monterrey racing team made up of students from five different campuses in the Mexico City metropolitan area. It was born in 2017 from the dream of a group of friends who wanted to compete in Formula Student UK.
It currently has 13 engineering and operations departments. In addition to racing, it participates in social outreach events, empowering women in science, and has collaborated on major motorsports events such as Formula E and NASCAR Mexico.
We are a university team dedicated to nurturing future engineers and industry professionals in a supportive environment, guided by the principles of S.P.E.E.D. — Support, Passion, Excellence, Empathy, and Dedication. As a pathfinder for multidisciplinary students at Tecnológico de Monterrey, we refine their skills and encourage them to push beyond limits. By embracing innovation and sustainability, we design and build formula-style race cars that highlight the role of electric power in modern propulsion systems. Through our efforts, we cultivate leaders committed to positively impacting our community and environment.
We aim to be a leading team in the college motorsport scene, prioritizing safety, growth, and collaboration for the successful completion of a high-performance race car. By 2027, we seek to be a reference in the Formula Student World through constant collaboration and excellence with this completed car in our debut.

TM Racing is the first and only team in the Americas competing in Formula Student UK and seeks to open up opportunities for students in Mexico in motorsports.
Formula Student is a competition for university students with the goal of developing students through the design, manufacture, and testing of a racing car. It takes place annually in Silverstone, England, and is organized by The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). More than 60 universities from around the world compete.
The Concept Class consists of presenting the business plan, design, manufacturing, initial vehicle testing, and project progress.
In the 2024 season, the following results were achieved:
Overall result: 3rd out of 36
Cost and manufacturing: 3rd out of 36
Vehicle design: 9th out of 36
Concept Class business plan: 9th out of 96
