The Karate Union of Great Britain, or KUGB, is an association of Shotokan Karate clubs and Karateka operating across Great Britain. The KUGB was founded in 1966 to be a democratic, not-for-profit organisation, and was the first single style organisation within the UK.Â
The KUGB is currently affiliated to the European Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) and the World Shotokan Karate Association (WSKA).
As a KUGB-affiliated club, Tiverton Shotokan Karate Club has access to a number of high level karate courses, with experienced instructors. Competitions are accessible regionally and nationally with opportunity to compete internationally as well.
Kyu gradings take place every 3 months locally to Tiverton and a number of students from other clubs will take part.
Medals for Tiverton at the 2024 South West Karate Championships!
