Are you experiencing shoulder pain? We can offer nonsurgical solutions to treat many shoulder conditions.
Shoulder biologic/regenerative medicine injections can be performed to treat a variety of conditions including rotator cuff disease, various tendinitis’, arthritis and ligament injuries under ultrasound guidance. More research is continually being conducted to study the benefits of these treatments in many conditions such as:
Rotator cuff disease
Impingement syndrome/Bursitis
Osteoarthritis
Various tendinitis’
Post surgical enhanced healing especially rotator cuff repair surgery
Shoulder biologic/regenerative medicine injections can be performed to treat shoulder pain and is preferred over steroids due to the destructive effect of steroid on tendons and cartilage. More research is continually being conducted to study the benefits of these treatments
PRP and ROTATOR CUFF
What research says:
Both surgical repair and platelet-rich plasma injection into the tear site are equally effective in the treatment of high-grade intrasubstance partial-thickness rotator cuff tears, while platelet-rich plasma provides significantly shorter recovery time.
The results of this review indicated that arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with PRP significantly reduced the long-term retear rate and shoulder pain and provided improved long-term shoulder function in patients.

PRP and FROZEN SHOULDER
What research says:
Both injections decreased pain and improved range of motion in patients. Intra-articular PRP injections may result in improved internal rotation compared to corticosteroid. Improvement in SPADI and passive forward flexion may be statistically significantly but may not be clinically relevant.
Of the studies that reported objective ROM outcomes, the PRP group had greater ROM at the longest follow-up compared to control in the vast majority of comparisons. For the studies that reported subjective outcomes, all patients that received PRP had a decrease in VAS pain scores and an improvement in DASH and SPADI questionnaires.
PRP and SHOULDER ARTHRITIS AND IMPINGEMENT
What research says:
IMPINGEMENT: PRP and STEROID in the Subacromial bursa could be considered as safe treatment options for shoulder impingement under ultrasonography guidance. While Steroidwas effective in short-term pain reduction, PRP was effective in long-term improvement in shoulder abduction.
OSTEOARTHRITIS: There were no differences in pain and functional outcomes after a single injection of PRP versus Hyaluronic acid. However, significant improvements in pain and function were observed after both treatments in patients with glenohumeral osteoarthritis.
