WEEK 1
Hello everyone!. I am Carmen and this week I am the facilitator.
My role is to facilitate and organize the work of my group mates, as well as helping them with whatever they need and of course, motivating them!
On Wednesday, as soon as we learned about the new task, the one dealing with TPACK AND ACAD, we played a roulette game to assign the different roles. As I had to be the facilitator, I began to organize what has been our work dynamic. In the first place, we made two subgroups and because of we are five, one was made of two and the other of three people, and each one was in charge of gathering the information and watching videos about those frameworks to start answering the questions.
Next, we put the information in common, since we all should know what both one and the other were about to make our work more effective and productive. I also helped my colleagues to solve their doubts. Later, we decided what concepts we wanted to put on the mural and we began to design how we could distribute them. I arranged them to meet on Monday afternoon to finish our work and to help our stars to organize their performance so they can do their best. Also I tried to motivate them with music and some jokes.
Finally, on the day of the presentation I had to calm down one of our stars, Álvaro because he was very nervous and despite his nerves, both he and Laura did a wonderful job.
COME ON, TINKIS!
WEEK 2
Hey Tinkis!! I'm Alba and this week I'm the facilitator.
We started the task of this week on Wednesday, after finishing our exposition of TPACK and ACAD. Firstly we took a look at the task, and then I started to assign the role to each member of the group, we also did the roulette, but only for the star's role, since the other ones were just swapping from one to another.
The task was about making a graphic story, in our case with Auca cartoon, with the fourth main potentialities of ICT mentioned in the text Linda attached to us. We began by reading the text and summarizing what was the main idea of each potentiality. Then we browsed what Auca were about because we had never heard of it, so it was totally new for us. In the following classes we discuss what we were going to do and the plot of our story, then I distribute the work in parts which were making the pictures and inventing the couplets to finally mix both of them. We did some virtual meetings in order to share our ideas and to plan what I was going to say in the presentation, as being the star.
Finally, on Wednesday, the presentation day, I explained the process of making the graphic story to all the different groups whereas my team were listening to the other's work.
I believe that we did such a good job!
Go Tinkis!!!
WEEK 3
Hey bloggers, I'm Laura and this week is my turn to be the facilitator of Tinkiwinkis' group. In my opinion, this is one of my favourites roles because you are in charge of motivating your classmates in order to make a wonderful task.
Our new task started on Wednesday, after finishing the exposition of last week about making a graphic story, with Auca cartoon. To begin, we started by looking at the task and decided what we wanted to do, because we had to select between several options. Finally, we decided to do a podcast because it's a creative and easy activity for students.
On Thursday's afternoon when everything was explained and all of us understood what we had to do, we got down to work! I was in charge of divided the work, we were working in small groups. Ones were in charge of looking for information and the other one for noting what we were going to put in our podcats.
During all the afternoon I was trying to motivate my classmates to finish the task that day so we wouldn’t had to met the next day, and fortunatly we finish it!
On Wednesday, our stars Carmen and Teresa had to present our work in front of all our class. I know that they were too nervous and scared but I have to say that they did a magnificent presentation.
GO TINKISSS!!
WEEK 4
Hi Tinkis!!! I'm Teresa, the facilitator of this week. If I'm honest, I really wanted to play this role because I like to help and motivate others in the task, and I always try to put a touch of humor to make the preparation of the task more enjoyable.
The task started on Wednesday, we read the information of the task and once we understood what had to be done, we assigned the role that each one had and we began to do the task.
On Thursday's afternoon, we divide us in two small groups. Carmen and Alba were in charge of looking for technological tools for do the activity and Laura, Álvaro and me were in charge of searching for information and planning the activity.
Over the weekend we tried to do as much of the homework as possible so that on Tuesday all we had to do was give it the thumbs up. During that period of time I motivated my classmates to do our best in this activity and I tried to help them in any way I could.
In Tuesday's class we changed a couple of things and left the activity finished so that our stars (Alvaro and Alba) had time to prepare it.
Finally, on Wednesday, Alvaro and Alba, they carried out the activity with another group and despite the nerves, they did it really well.
COME ON TINKIS!!!
WEEK 5
HELLO I'm alvaro and this week I will be the facilitator of the tinkiwinkis, a role with which I don't feel too comfortable because of the team management but nevertheless I always do a good job from my point of view.
The first thing we did was to divide up the applications we were going to work on, then once it was clear which applications we were going to use we divided the group into small groups and then we put them together, then the activity consisted of putting the rubrics together and commenting on them, then we had to give the applications a numerical score out of six and finally explain the evaluation method we were going to use.
The representative of our star was Laura
WEEK 6
Hey there, what’s up? I’m Carmen and this week is my turn to be the facilitator of Tinkiwinkis’ group.
Our new task was uploaded to the Aula Virtual on Wednesday so we started reading it and doing some brainstorming but it wasn’t until Friday when we started working hard as that was when Linda explained the task in class. This week we were in charge of creating a game based on the curriculum.
As I was in charge of organising the work, once we had the complete idea of the game we wanted to make (Ecopoly, similar to monopoly but based on recycling and environmental care), Alba and I started to design the board while Teresa, Laura and Álvaro were in charge of making the cards.
During the weekend, we finished including all the resources we needed to print and on Monday afternoon we stayed at the university to assemble and finish our game, as on Tuesday we had to be ready to play. To make the afternoon more enjoyable for my colleagues, I bought sweets and chocolates to make them feel more motivated.
Also, on Tuesday we played the game amongst ourselves to see if it worked in order to be prepared to present to our colleagues on Wednesday. We realised that the game was fun and a bit challenging so it was entertaining and fun. We also realised that we should set a certain time to answer the questions. We improved our game and ....the day came! It was time to play with our colleagues. Our star Teresa did a great job!
This task has taught us to see how games can also allow children to learn in a fun way, so in our future as teachers we should include them, because if we have enjoyed playing, they will enjoy it even more.
I am very proud of my group, we have done an excellent job.
Go Tinkis!
WEEK 7
Hey Tinkis! I'm Alba, and this week is my turn to be the facilitator of the group.
We started this task on Friday, when Linda explained to us what we have to do, which was about exploring tasks with digitals computational thinking and coding. First, we went to "The Hour of Code" webpage, and we investigate it going through some games to then select three of them. I decided that we could choose 3 games each and then decide which three would be more adequate to use.
It was on the weekend when we finally settled down the three activities we would be going to use, after some reflections through video calls trying to decide which of them would be better options.
On Tuesday, Linda gave us general feedback about our blogs, and then we continue with the task. The final product of this assignment was to make a podcast about our experience this week with our work, so we read the document on which appeared the things we had to mention on our radio program. After that, I organized the tasks in order to be more productive, since we had to have everything prepared for the following day. We finished the part of the interview's questions, and in the afternoon we continue with the other elements to include on the podcast, by doing another video call to put all our ideas in common and make the reflections.
Finally, on Wednesday, our Star Carmen, went with the "Wild Cats" group to be interviewed while the rest of the group ask our questions to Lucía, from the "See u on Tuesday" group. I organized everything in order to start with the interviews, then the welcome clip, the advertisement, our experience, our reflection and the goodbye clip, so we can finish it as soon as possible. After recording everything, Teresa was in charge of put together all the clips, finishing with that task 7.
I'm proud of the work we've done and how we've worked as a team, let's continue on that way!!
Go Tinkis!!!
WEEK 8
Hi Tinkiss!! I'm Laura and this week I have been the facilitator of Tinkiwinkis.
We started this task on Friday, when Linda explained to us what we have to do, which was about understanding the PLE. The PLE (Personal Learning Environment) is one of the most exciting topics we have studied in the last years. It is crucial to understand how the student's learning process and the teacher's professional development process are student-centred.
So on Friday, after Linda's explanation we have to fill a form related to those tools that we selected in the task 5 (ethics). In that task we selected 9 tools: (the three forced, the three discovered, and the three you used before, and you bring to the group) , we have to fill that form individually until Tuesday in order to compare our results all together.
On Tuesday, when we arrived at class Linda told us that we have to collect all the answers of our group and then compare them. Once we have do that was time for representing it as a PLE diagram with some characteristics, we had to organize it using the three parts of the PLE that Linda had mentioned in class (which are: access, recreating knowledge and discuss). Moreover we have to be sure that the PLE was situated, that means that our diagram includes all the aspects we have explored in the questionnaire and the star who was Álvaro was in charge of explain to the class how was our “PLE”.
Finally on Wednesday, our star Álvaro was in charge of explained to the whole group our PLE, he was a little bit nervous I have to said, but he did a great job. I am convinced!!
I'm proud of the work we've done and how we've worked as a team, let's continue on that way!!
Go Tinkis!!!
WEEK 9
Hii Tinkis!!! I'm Teresa, the facilitator of this week, and I'm going to tell you what we've done this week and how our homework has gone.
As always, we started Friday with Linda's explanation of what we had to do this week. The task was about "Teaching in the digital world" and we had to make an infographic where we explained the elements that make up the competence of teaching in the digital world and establish comparisons with other elements of education or society and the participants in the process educational.
The truth is that when we saw the task we were a bit scared because making infographics always costs us a bit, but we organized ourselves to read all the information and think about how to make the infographic during the weekend.
On Monday, we made a video call to start the task. Laura and I were in charge of looking for the characteristics to put them in the infographic, while Carmen, Alba and Álvaro were in charge of establishing the relationships between the concepts and aspects of the educational or social environment. Everything was going well, but we didn't know how to make an infographic. We started looking online for examples and made something that we thought was an infographic, but it wasn't. Until we realized that in the task document Linda had put a link to a video where she explains in detail how to make an infographic, what colors to use, the font... I can say that video saved us because we were starting to get desperate.
We all watched the video together in the video call because Laura was able to share her screen and we stopped the video when something seemed important to us or we liked it to make our infographic. And, now yes, once we saw the video we were able to carry out the task. We decided to do it in blue tones because it represented professionalism and that was what we wanted to reflect. As Canva is a very useful tool to do this type of thing, we made our infographic in Canva choosing various shades of blue, the different types of chalk that according to the video were the best option to put, the symbols...
The next day, in class, we finished establishing the missing relationships and finishing touches. And at that moment our other problem with this task came, that we had to present it in A2 format. We realized that it was a large size and we knew that in all the copy shops they could not print that size at the moment, so we started looking online for copy shops that could print the infographic in that size. Linda also told us that we could print it on several A4 sheets and then put them together, but for these things we are very perfectionists and we insist on printing it on A2. Finally, Carmen and I managed to find a copy shop in Murcia that would print it for us in A2 and right away.
On the day of the presentation of the infographic (Wednesday), our stars Alba and Laura had to explain to the rest of the group how we had carried it out, why we had chosen those colors, the information we had put... For this we made a speed-dating, in which each group was assigned a site and those of us who did not present were the ones who had to go from one group to another so that they could explain their infographics to us.
To conclude, I have to say that it went well for us, with things to improve as always, but it is one of the jobs with which we have been most satisfied because we knew that it was very difficult for us to make an infographic and we put everything on our side to get it done. good and we liked it. As this week's facilitator, I have paid close attention to how we work and organize, and to be honest, I think that as time goes by, we are evolving to a better way of working because at the beginning it was very difficult for us to carry out the work, but now we organize ourselves quite well and we like to be more perfectionist with the tasks. I hope we continue to improve.
COME ON TINKIS!!!
WEEK 10
Hello I'm Álvaro and this week I'm going to be the facilitator of the tinkiwinkis team.
As you all know this week's task consisted of creating a rubric to evaluate one of the roles that we had to do during the course. In our case, Linda, the teacher, assigned us two of these roles, which were curator and translator.
I had to separate the work into two parts in order to do it faster as we are five in the group. Teresa and I elaborated the rubric of translator, and Laura, Carmen and Alba elaborated the rubric of curator.
The next step of this work was to combine our rubrics with the correspondent group of the other half of the class as they had to elaborate the rubric for the same roles, that is the puzzle team.
Finally, we had to evaluate the posts of the curator and translator of the blogs of some groups of our classmates by using our rubrics. After this, we had to give them some feedback about the work that they did in those posts. This was the part of our star this week
THAT´S ALL FOR THIS WEEK
