Living in a world of technology, we have to stay ready for change. It is my hope that all children will have the technology access that they need to be successful as they can be. I do believe that technology is taking the place of our traditional text books, but a laptop, tablet, or desk top is proven in my eyes to be better for the students. They have access to all their homework and text books at the touch of a finger. It also helps store their papers and notes in one location. However, it is not teaching them to be able to find words in an encyclopedia.

I am excited to see something positive on social media. I was reminded of Monday mornings as a teacher. The post on Twitter that was from a teacher Stacie Leonovicz and shared by Teachers2Teachers and it states that

"Monday mornings are for the biggest smiles you can muster and the warmest hello you can give students. Monday mornings are for welcoming students back from whatever happened during the weekend. Monday mornings are for reminding students they are loved, valued, and safe at school."

I think this is a good share because I greet my students in this manner every morning. I believe they focus and learn better when they feel comfortable and loved. I pray that my attitude towards them never changes because we never know what they may be dealing with at home, but we can be that beam of light that shines and make everything brighter. I do this every day because I love being that inspiration and bright light in their lives to make them have a bigger and brighter future.
