Meeting our Romanian and Polish friends at the airport

We were all very excited to get to the airport and begin a full week of activities. Our Town Hall bus with four of our students and two teachers met our guests in Lisbon.

DAY 1- 13TH NOVEMBER- (MONDAY) - INTRODUCTION TO CREATIVITY

Students and teachers were welcomed at school by the Principal and their partners, an official welcome of the participants. They were presented with a very short roller skating performance (https://photos.app.goo.gl/VJxiZTTT1EqiadXMA) , and they made their first contacts and introductions.

After a Peddy Paper, where the participants got to know each other and the school premises, there were some delicious refreshments prepared by our students and teachers from the Cooking and Pastry professional course.

Then we went to the school auditorium where the works prepared by each delegation were presented and we were also delighted by some traditional musical performances of our elementary schools students.

After a traditional dish in our canteen we went to Óbidos village to experience a historical adventure in an Escape Room game and were able to enjoy and learn about Óbidos landmarks.

DAY 2 - 14TH NOVEMBER- (TUESDAY) - I MOTIVATE AND I AM CREATIVE

We began this day by separating our participants in two groups. One participated in a Digital Games Workshop  and the other in a Photography Workshop that lasted the whole morning with some delicious delicacies in between.

The surprise of the day was the earthquake simulation that took place in our school where all the students proved that they knew what to do in this kind of calamity.

In the afternoon we all went to Bom Sucesso Beach and Lagoon where the students expressed their emotions about the joint project through landart.

DAY 4 - 16TH NOVEMBER (THURSDAY) - OUR MUTUAL SUCCESS

During the morning the groups switched workshops so that everyone could experience both projects whether in photography or building a digital game.

In the afternoon the participants took part in a different experience- My machine. It is a project that combines creativity and technology with the simple and genuine way that young people have to face the world. MyMachine challenges them to realize their ideas by building “machines” that will solve problems in the world, society, our lives or our village.

In the evening there was a tasting of regional dishes and the familiarization with Portuguese customs through a mediaeval supper, where everyone dressed in traditional medieval costumes. The mediaeval supper was prepared by students of the cooking and pastry professional course with the help of our teacher and Chef João Alpalhão. 

We all had the opportunity to spend free time together at the end of the visit to Portugal, learning regional dances, singing songs and dancing.

There was also the opportunity to present some works and the results of the workshops.

Unfortunately it was also time to say farewell to our guests since they had to leave really early in the morning.
