Conclusions from the meeting in Poland formed on the basis
of the participants’ surveys
STRENGTHS
The visit of Partner Schools in Poland brought many benefits to the project:
• Meeting new people, customs, games
• Positive memories, new experiences, knowledge
• Improvement of professional skills
• Spending time actively and learning
• Possibility of sightseeing
• Self-discovery, ‘feeling way better about the way I am’
• Ability to help others
• Ability to act under pressure (time, variety of activities, coordination)
• Acquiring and improving practical skills (operation of equipment, preparation of refreshments and hall for the ceremony)
• Improving body language in communication
Students got some new friends and knowledge about the Polish culture, experience abroad, ‘the opportunity to get to know a country, to travel and to fly, all things that maybe in the future
I won't be able to do’. They were full of new experiences, memories, also had the opportunity to evolve creativity and learn new games. But what is important students and teachers had the opportunity to practice language. Students realized they could communicate in English since they were able to understand and be understood, giving them more confidence to continue using the English language. They also understood that English is really a global language that can unite people.
ASPECTS THAT NEED IMPROVEMENT ACCORDING TO PARTICIPANTS:
· more people involved to help next time
· we should be more spontaneous and orient ourselves towards activities that attract the student more by reflecting their interests
· organise activities in a way that students could stay most of the time with the guests, in order to form strong friendships.
· travel more inside the country
· adjust the food meals timing.
We’ll try to use all the conclusions to organise further meetings. Thank you 😊
