Roof Garden Rules

The Roof Garden is a communal facility for all residents to enjoy in a pleasant and relaxing manner. All residents must be aware that roof garden is situated in the middle of a residential neighbourhood and is surrounded by apartments and neighbours on all sides.

As such, it is essential that residents using the roof garden comply with the Roof Garden Rules listed below at all times.

As the roof garden is an open space at height, management assume residents and guests will exercise reasonable care for their own safety at all times whilst using the roof garden.

Parents / Guardians should exercise particular care for the safety of children under their supervision whilst using the roof garden.

Breaches of any of the rules below will result in your access fob being disabled for a period of 6 months, forfeit of your security deposit, followed by an increased reactivation fee.

Roof Garden Rules:

  • CCTV cameras are in operation.

  • Your access fob has been assigned to you. The fob should never be loaned or given to another resident.

  • Please do not prop open the door or allow another person to ‘tailgate’ you onto the roof garden, your access fob is specifically for your own access, and should not be used to facilitate the access of other people. If requested, politely, but firmly decline any access requests. NO FOB, NO ACCESS!

  • Roof garden is an amenity for The Waterside residents only (Blocks A, B/C & D).

  • A goodwill policy of one accompanied guest per resident applies at all times, unless otherwise agreed in advance with management. This ‘+1 guest’ goodwill gesture is being kept under continuous review and may be revoked at any time.

  • Please keep the noise level to an ambient level at all times. No loud music or parties. The rooftop is not a party zone for residents or invited guests. No noise should be audible from the roof garden before 9:00am or after 10:00pm.

  • Strictly no fires / BBQs / naked flames.

  • Pets are not permitted.

§ As the roof garden is an open space at height, residents and guests must exercise reasonable care for their own safety at all times whilst using the roof garden.

  • Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult. As the roof garden is an open space at height, adults with children must always remain highly vigilant of children’s activities.

  • Please be considerate to your neighbours and show courtesy at all times.

  • The roof garden operates a 'leave no trace' policy. Residents are kindly requested to clear all evidence of their visit i.e. dispose of all refuse and return any furniture to its original position. Put any rubbish in the bin provided. Please clean up any breakages, paying particular attention to broken glass. A sweeping brush & dustpan have been provided alongside the bin.

  • The furniture and accessories are the property of the waterside and must not be removed from the roof garden.

  • When you are finished with cushions / throws / games please place them back in the shed in an orderly manner.

  • Ashtrays are provided on the tables. Please use these gravel-filled ashtrays & pots to extinguish cigarettes. When finished with ashtray, please reaffix the lid securely. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or over the wall.

  • Do not use the umbrellas if it is gusty or windy.

  • Residents are obliged to obey instructions from complex management and/or their agents. Failure to do so will result in sanction, up to and including permanent prohibition from the rooftop garden.

Management will not accept liability for any damage or loss of property. Management will not accept liability for any injury, death, loss, damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following: (a) the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or (b) the fault of a third party not connected with the company which we could not have predicted or avoided or (c) an event or circumstance which could not have been predicted or avoided even after taking all reasonable care.

Lost fobs should be reported to A2Z immediately. Replacement of lost fobs will incur a fee.
