A poem - procrastination a cunning foe.
A poem - procrastination a cunning foe.
In the depths of my soul, a battle waged,
Perfectionism's chains, my spirit engaged.
I sought flawlessness in every endeavor,
Yet found myself trapped, my dreams to sever.
🔒⏰
Procrastination, a sly and cunning foe,
It whispered sweet lies, filled me with woe.
I delayed, I hesitated, I hid away,
As days turned to weeks, my world turned gray.
🐢🕰️
Isolated I felt, from people and light,
Burdened by the fear of not getting it right.
The weight on my shoulders, heavy and cold,
A prison of my own making, stories untold.
🏰🗝️
But in the darkness, a flicker of light,
A whisper of hope, shining ever so bright.
I realized that perfection is but a mirage,
A never-ending chase, a self-imposed barrage.
✨🌈
I vowed to break free, to rise above,
To embrace the imperfect, to show my love.
For myself, for my dreams, for all I hold dear,
I'd release the grip of doubt, banish the fear.
🌟❤️
With each small step, I gained momentum,
Imperfect actions became my anthem.
I let go of the need for flawless creation,
And embraced the beauty of imperfection.
🚶♀️💪
I opened my heart, let others inside,
Shared my struggles, no longer did I hide.
Together we found solace, understanding, and grace,
Building bridges of connection, erasing the space.
🤝❤️
No longer would I let myself down,
I'd rise from the ashes, wear my victory crown.
For life is too precious, too short to delay,
In imperfect action, my dreams found their way.
