These pieces are from the JAZZ CONCEPTION books by Jim Snidero (pub. Advance Music). Some are based on famous jazz tunes- click on the name of the original song to hear it. The pieces from these books are listed as graded solos in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Manual.Â
There are many alternate positions in these songs. If you'd like to see a list of the ones used for a specific tune, there are two ways. based on MILESTONES by Miles Davis. This performance is from Miles' album, also called Milestones. Its a great record that you should listen to- you'll love it!!!
