There are three basic minor scales- natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor. These will be taught here by making adjustments to the major scale pattern.

Formed by lowering the 3rd, 6th, and 7th notes of the major scale.

Formed by lowering the 3rd and 6th notes of the major scale.
The Melodic Minor Scale
The Melodic Minor Scale
Formed by lowering the 3rd note of the major scale when ascending, and lowering the 7th, 6th, and 3rd notes when descending. (Watch the lesson- its easier than it looks!)
