Danny is a tattoo artist based in Leeds. He has been tattooing American Traditional and other styles for over a decade. He appreciates the different ideas than can come out of American Traditional designs.
“American Trad holds up and looks good. In 50 years, you're still going to know what that tattoo is. That's ultimately why I like it - its longevity and the timelessness.”
Danny's Dagger
"That's my first one and I've never seen anything like it before, which I liked how it was - with the rip and I liked how he did it with the jagged bits on the blades. The colors stayed quite well. From learning about it, it's a Russian prison tattoo [design] so it'll have more of a meaning which I've not looked into but I liked how it was. It was the first time I've seen something like that - sort of just cool and new. I guess it's also an act of rebellion, especially since it's my first one [tattoo] on my forearm, and it's massive and gnarly.
"I don't really know why I got the wolf... I was like 'yeah, a wolf's head is cool'. I don't know, I guess personality - I always think tattoos are showing your personality, and the wolf symbolizes bravery and fear. I guess even though I'm not like aggressive or violent, I kind of like the gnarly looking stuff because I think it looks cool."

Danny's Moth
"Everyone always wants a butterfly. I like the moth because even now, not many people really get moths unless it's like a death head, but I din't want a death head. I wanted it just have like a little fuzzy body. I also didn't know about moths being like a symbol of death. The artist drew the eyes on and I was like 'yeah, that's cool'. Moths are cool - especially with the eyes."
