The resources listed below are intended to be used with secondary school learners. They are divided into the following categories
🔹 Breaking news: On this webpage, you can find up-to-date articles adapted to different levels, with activities and lesson plans.
🔹 BBC Spain: Spanish news written in English. This is a very good place to look for up-to-date articles.
🔹 El PaÃs in English: This is the English version of the newspaper El PaÃs.
🔹 Canarian Weekly: English newspaper for the Canary Islands.
🔹 Ello: Over 2500 free listening lessons. Teachers and students can access lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced students.
🔹 Luke's English Podcast: An award-winning audio show for learners of English.
🔹 Lyricstraining: Improve your listening skills through the music, video and lyrics of your favourite songs.
🔹 Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab: Activities on this webpage focus on everyday English comprehension skills at three levels.
🔹 Vaughan Radio: it has a lot of podcasts to practice listening, and also improve in grammatical competence.
🔹 Listen a minute: one-minute audios organized by topics. They have exercises to practice.
🔹 RD Lessons: Funny lessons with exercises and questions about short videos, news or films.
🔹 UsingEnglish.com: A collection of English reading comprehension exercises.
🔹 ReadTheory: Improve your student's reading comprehension.
🔹 Project Gutenberg: A virtual library where you can download a lot of English books.
🔹 Listen and write: webpage where students have to transcribe songs, poems, talks or news.
🔹 Write source: it offers a lot of opportunities for practicing writing as it offers a great number of topics to write about.
🔹 Pen Pal World: It offers a tool to maintain contact with people from other countries. Very useful for improving writing.
🔹 Purdue OWL: The Online Writing Lab (OWL) at Purdue University houses writing resources and instructional material, and they provide these as a free service of the Writing Lab at Purdue. Â
🔹 Aprende Inglés Sila: webpage with a lot of resources for improving pronunciation.
🔹 Subinglés: practice English with karaoke.
🔹 Phonetics Focus: Learn phonetics through games.
🔹 Learning English: BBC webpage with a lot of lessons and activities to practice English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
🔹 La Mansión del Inglés: Games and activities to practice grammar and orthography.
🔹 engVid: Usefull for flipped classroom methodologies, as it shows a great amount of video-lessons for different levels.Â

🔹 Oxford Online Learners Dictionary: online dictionary with a lot of resources.
🔹 Urban Dictionary: This is an interesting resource, as it includes words which are not normally covered by traditional dictionaries.
🔹 Merriam-Webster: visual dictionary to learn and memorize through the use of images.
🔹 Phrasal Verb Demon: A Useful guide for phrasal verbs.
