Yes, if you are a Malaysian citizen aged between 16-28 years old. All youth who are 16 and 28 years old in the year 2021 are eligible to join this competition. Age for this competition is counted by the year, not birthdate. Please check CATEGORIES for more information.

The RYSE team will not accept nor is responsible for any late submissions.

By joining this competition, you stand a chance of winning cash prizes worth of RM650 alongside limited-edition merchandises. All winning entries will be printed into a physical postcard which will be sent to you and the tauke of your choice! You will all receive a certification of participation for this competition.

Don't worry! You can watch the Masterclass with Farah where she will teach about the basics of creating an idea from watching a Tauke Talks session. For a more in-depth guide, you can join 'The Visual Storytelling Workshop with Farah and Maggie' where you will get to learn hands-on how to turn a story into visual art!

Yes! You will be notified by the RYSE team via the email you have provided us upon submission. Please make sure that your email address is valid. An announcement will be posted on RYSE's social media, please look forward to the post on 26th November 2021.

Maximum of 2 entries per participants. You can submit 2 entries of 1 Tauke of your choice OR 2 entries of 2 Taukes. RYSE will ONLY accept the latest 2 submissions.

You can use either English, Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia.
Yes! You are welcome to rojak the language.

You can only draw and write about a Tauke from the Tauke Talks series. We don't accept any submission about any other Tauke outside of the Tauke Talks series.
Do I have to draw humans?
Do I have to draw humans?
No! You don't have to draw humans. You can draw anything that relates to how the Taukes have inspired you. You will NOT be marked less for not drawing humans or characters.

No, the RYSE team will not be informing you if you are disqualified. We will only check the status of your submission if you email or Whatsapp us. Please make sure that you complete the requirements of this competition, create the postcard design and message within the theme.
