Plot

The team of four investigators were sent to the small town of Kruzof to investigate the majority of people had disappeared. As the Party arrived, the entire town seemed to have disappeared. After some investigating they managed to find a small piece of what looked like paper with a small letter written on it. They deliberated on what it meant for a while as they were startled by a large fisherman named Damien. He said he had been gone for about a week and when he left there were still hundreds of people on the island.

Damien lead them to many other places on the island, including his friend Duggar's house, the bakery and the cemetery. In all of these places they found blood splatter, and or puddles, some signs of forced entry, and more of these pieces of paper. They also found a small container with a set alphabetical code. After further thinking, the party began to discover that these pieces of paper may not be paper at all. They felt far more like leather, but not a leather that any of them had felt. At that point they felt that it was not safe to allow Damien to stay on the island and escorted him back to the dock, where they found that not only Damien's Boat, but all of the boats in the docks had been sunk.

After this discovery the party decided to hunker down for the night in Duggar's house. Ditto's detect magic started to sense a magical force all around them, and slowly the party became more and more compelled to express their darkest secrets. While after a very chaotic two minutes of admitting to sleeping with other party members mothers, gambling addictions, falling into toilets, killing sharks and even eating (and enjoying) a salad this problem became much worse. The party was out of secrets, but still felt compelled to tell the truth. Every so often they just couldn't hold it in and were forced to state an obvious truth around them.

This obviously made it very difficult to sleep. What made it more difficult to sleep was the blood curdling scream they heard in the middle of the night. They rushed out into the night only to discover another house, another puddle of warm blood and no other clues. Damien seeing this was obviously sickened and waited outside while the party searched. When they came out Damien was missing, and only a piece of leather remained on the ground containing the last letter of the puzzle "N", as well as a piece of Damien's anchor tattoo.

About this same time an old man came mumbling down the street. He was repeating something about this boy being "real" when the party managed to get a look at his face, they saw that the mans eyes had been bruatlly cut out of his head. Although he still wore his glasses. Several members of the party swore they reminded them of something from their childhood. After finding and solving the code to the lock "STRING" they found the final note. Seemingly written for this old man. "Come home, see the real me" on other peice of this leather.

The party quickly figured out that this was likely the theater and rushed there. They encountered many many wooden dolls inside, and were eventually lead into the basement where they finally spotted him. A wooden doll wrapped in this leather, a long hat and pointed shoes made of the same material. As he looked up they saw very human eyes had been placed into the dolls empty sockets. A battle ensued. The doll managed to trap the party in tendrils of flesh and was surgical in his attacks. The party managed to be freed and found that the doll had a weakness for fire. Hamood also discovered Damien, still alive, in a pit in this basement. Each time the doll was attacked the leather strung in this basement as well as Damien seemed to absorb it from him. Unbothered or unable to communicate the party raged on killing the doll and Damien in the process.

They did however immediately revivify Damien. They managed to un-sink their boat, and loot the town. Most of the party spent their money wisely and continued with the plans that they had made. Bordu however, took it to the casino and managed to make enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his life.
