Graduate students interested in joining the lab should contact me directly to discuss their interests and then submit an application to the University of Maryland’s MEES Program once a possible research idea or project has been discussed. This email should include 1) relevant experience, 2) reasons for your interest in graduate school, the MEES program, and the Place lab, and 3) a CV or resume.
Research assistantships and teaching assistantships may be available during the program as funding permits. Students are also encouraged to apply for outside funding, see links below:
Highly motivated undergraduates and highschoolers are encouraged to contact me directly about opportunities to get hands-on research experience on a volunteer basis. Undergraduates may be eligible to apply for IMET's summer internship while high school students may be eligible to apply for Baltimore's Ingenuity Project.
