Students are expected to conduct extensive research and have in-depth discussions as part of this project in order to develop a critical awareness of tradition, modernity, and globalisation in Asian architectural contexts. The findings must be presented by the students in a research poster and seminar presentation. Students in groups of six to seven should choose the topics of architecture and place identity, adaptive reuse of historic building, sustainable heritage tourism, and cultural space in cities as the focus of their study.
Through this project, I was able to learn how to do formal research and develop my ability to think critically when faced with challenges. In addition, I was able to understand important concerns based on themes of tradition, modernity, and globalization in connection to the development of contemporary Asian architecture.
