The concepts and techniques of design thinking in analysis, abstraction, and synthesis are introduced in this course and are applied to a variety of design professions, such as architecture and construction. "User and Context," which examines the relationship between the user and the natural environment, is the studio's primary topic of focus. In this studio, students will engage in a variety of studio-based activities, such as precedent studies, form and space exploration via architectural conception, and examination of architectural spaces and construction. Last but not least, students will construct a small freestanding building that meets user demands and engages with its surroundings.
