Noun. Any place for a bird, animal, or person to alight or rest upon.
At The Nest, the third floor is called The Perch - a place of haven or refuge for visitors to stay as they have need. The Perch has two separate bedrooms, a common area, and a full bathroom, plus storage.
Through the generosity of our friends and neighbors, plus a lot of hard work, we were able to install a mini-split HVAC system on the third floor, completely renovate and expand the bathroom, install flooring, stairs, and new plaster, as well as fix the roof and furnish The Perch.
If you know of someone who may need a place to "perch" for a short period of time, please contact us. Ryan, Katelynn, and Eva are excited to welcome visitors into their home and provide a place of hospitality and rest.
If you're interested in helping with future Perch projects - replacing windows, refinishing wood floors, and ongoing maintenance - see the information below:

Completely restored from its original Pepto pink walls, asbestos flooring, and unsafe entry, it's now a cozy space for work or relaxation.
There are two alcove bedrooms, and both are now functional with plaster repair, HVAC heat and cooling, and updated flooring. All they need now are clever names!
Previously lime green and without a functioning sink or shower, it's now a lovely four piece bathroom with all new flooring and walls.
