Guests enter from MS USA by way of a Chinese arch with flags of the Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han, Jin, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties flying from the top. From there, guests are immersed in a major city in Imperial China, inspired by Lijiang and Suzhou, located near a Guilin inspired mountain range with Mythic Mountain, a water ride, at the center. Atop a lower mountain, Wu Xing Palace, a Vekoma madhouse themed to the three Chinese elements and the magicians who control it, stands. At the edge of town, near the Mountains, a stone tower inspired by the Great Wall stands. This is the entry to Jian’s Journey. On the other edge of town beside a prayer flag strewn cliff carved with Buddhas based on the Longmen Grottoes, a great palace stands an ornate staircase. This is the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, which guests can explore in Emperor Qin’s Eternal Army. Guests can enter a Chinese pavilion on the Main Street to see The Zodiac Show, a show featuring the animals of the Chinese Zodiac performing. Guests can shop in a market along the sprawling canals of the town and dine on authentic food in a repurposed water mill overlooking the town’s canals or shop and dine along the Main Street. At night, lanterns light up the town’s streets and markets.
