CuntJesus Wins First Norlish Election

The Kingdom of Norlund held it's first national election on the fifth of March, with the results verified on the seventh. It is the first election held anywhere on CivReign. or at least, to public knowledge. Norlish citizens elected a Prime Minister to lead them, along with Ministers of Economy, Interior and Foreign Affairs. This election ended the rule of the provisional government, which had held power since the server's start.

Each of the positions were contested by a single candidate, leading to predetermined results. However, some voters seemed to display disapproval by abstaining their vote. The following candidates were elected;

Although unrelated, I feel compelled to mention the fate of Norlish royal Bogdan. Bogdan was a member of the Norlish royal family, and was announced by Norlish King Leobonet to have recently died. He will be remembered, primarily, for being a polar bear.

Miner's Brew Invented

Brewyern recently made a breakthrough with their discovery of the Miner's Brew. The 'Miner's Friend' requires four glow berries to be made, followed by fifteen minutes in a cauldron, and 10-15 in a wooden oak barrel. The potions granted Night Vision and Luck

The Miner's Friend comes at a similar time to Changelog updates (like tweaks to ore rates) and technological developments, as bronze and steel becomes more common. Although no one can guarantee the future of the server, it seems that it will gradually become less grindy, or at least more bearable. with these developments.

Brewyern has made it clear that it would not make all discovered recipes clear. However, it is recruiting. Any aspiring Brewers are encouraged to join Brewyern, or it's Brewers Guild. Both of which can be found in the Brewyern discord.

Okx Banned Off The Server!

Okx, infamous raider on the server, has been banned.

The devs have not explained why this was done, as they do have a rule against discussing bans or their explanations. However, two sources have confirmed that it was due to allegations of X-Raying.

An interview with Doom_Weaver explains the situation. He detailed how the two were using radar hits (which provides nearby player coordinates as you travel) to locate bunkers and bases. As they got a hit, Okx began digging down towards the bunker, at which point he was banned by Ttastic. An attempt to appeal the ban was not accepted, despite him saying that Okx had provided proof that he wasn't X-Raying.

Two attempts to call out Ttastic in the public discord (as seen here and here) were ignored. Regarding the situation, and if he had been banned too, Doom_Weaver said in a quote; "No and the admins should not have banned Okx he was not and never will cheat."

With the increasing prelevancy of bronze, and even steel tools, this event may mark a significant turning point in the server, and perhaps the end of the Stone Age.

Justices Appointed & Election Announced

Three justices were appointed to serve on the Laurentian Judiciary. These players are Archduke Zhirall, Viscount Aetherix, and LunaaCatt. The primary job of these players, beyond theoretically holding trials, is verifying election results.

This comes as a convenient time, as the first Laurentian election has been sheduled. Nominations for candidates will open at 8PM on March 17th. Any noble with the support of at least two other nobles or one Archduke may run. As of now, no one has announced a plan to run.

Laurentia uses an interesting voting system. All citizens are guaranteed own vote, however, may gain up to three additional votes through work for the state. As of now, no system has been announced for giving out these votes. However, it will no doubt be very significant in the upcoming election.

Panoply Production

Laurentia has become one of the first nations to create bronze armor. This development comes after bronze armor began being made, and given to the best PVPers of the nation. This comes alongside the wider Laurentian growth into becoming a trade nation, such as exporting boats, tools and stone. Laurentia has not yet begun exporting this valuable resource. However, it likely will in the future, once the supply grows big enough.
