This month is slightly different and instead of online prizes we'd like you to attend a local event. Local businesses have kindly sponsored prizes for the Full House Bingo and Entertainment Fundraiser in aid of LauraLynns Chidren's Hospice on May 19th, 9pm till late at Taylors Johnstown.

We'd like to offer our congratulations to Chris for organising and raising over €2,000 for the LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice at the Bingo Fundraiser last night at Taylors Johnstown.

- We've started to create a list of local activities which will grow to cover a multitude of interest groups but we need your help. Read More.
- Johnstown Wood Residents Group have initiated a project whereby residents can sponsor and plant a tree.
- Johnstown Tidy Towns have identified some areas that are in need of improvement and have begun discussions with the Council to implement them. Read More.
- The Rainbow's End Project created by a local school girl has achieved their Fundit campaign target. We're looking forward to hearing about their experience creating a Postcard Garden at this year's Bloom Festival. Read April Article

- Fares on the local NX Bus service are set to increase this month.

- Another 'Come and Try' Multi Sports Event took place on the Bailis Downs Green enticing local 6 to 12yr olds to engage with sports. It wasn't well attended partly because many would have attended 1st Holy Communions, Darkness into Light or just out enjoying the sunshine. Next Months event we'll hope to have more children attend.
