Station Maintenance Coordinator

North Rocks Crew roll up their sleeves for successful working bees, bringing together volunteers for a day of teamwork, maintenance, and preparation ahead of the upcoming fire seasons .

The working bees can be  focused on a range of important tasks, including:

• Cleaning and organizing the truck bays and equipment stores

• Servicing hand tools, chainsaws, and pumps

• Testing and checking radios, PPE, and breathing apparatus

• Grounds maintenance – mowing, whipper snipping, and clearing gutters

• Repainting faded signage and touch-up work on the station exterior

• Preparing training areas for upcoming drills

These events  aren't just about work – it was also a great chance for members to reconnect, share stories, and welcome new recruits.

Days like this remind us that the strength of the RFS lies in our people. Everyone pitches in, from senior crew to Rookies.

These efforts ensure we're ready to respond when our community needs us most.
